In recent years, Fenggang County has always adhered to the concept of "strong industrial county", seizing the golden period of undertaking industrial transfer in the east, aiming to create a plumbing hardware manufacturing base and distribution center in the southwest region, continuously optimizing the business environment, and making efforts to supplement, strengthen, and extend the chain. The plumbing industry has grown from scratch, and the industrial chains of oxidation, electroplating, profile extrusion, and valve core have been continuously improved. The first phase of the Plumbing and Bathroom Expo City has been completed, covering an area of 400000 square meters.
"As a traditional agricultural county, Fenggang has been able to develop the plumbing and bathroom industry out of thin air, benefiting from the increased investment attraction in recent years, as well as the continuous improvement and upgrading of the business environment." said Ma Hua, Secretary of Fenggang County Party Committee.
In the workshop of Jinfenghuang Sanitary Ware Co., Ltd., workers are carrying out cleaning, pressure testing, and inspection of faucet blanks. The company mainly produces high-end copper faucets, bathroom hardware, and other products. In December 2021, it entered Fenggang Economic Development Zone, Guizhou, and was put into production in February this year.
"Currently, we produce 5000 sets of bathroom hardware per day, with a target annual output value of 50 million yuan." Wang Yu, general manager of Jinfenghuang Sanitary Ware Co., Ltd., said that in the third quarter of this year, the company had already produced 220000 faucets, and in the fourth quarter, we began working overtime to strive to complete the order as soon as possible.
"This is the latest product developed by our company, called aluminum alloy wood grain material, which can be directly used for processing outdoor products." Li Yawei, the head of Guizhou Fengxi Aluminum Industry Company, said that the company, through investment promotion, settled in the Economic and Technological Development Zone from Zhejiang in December 2019, mainly engaged in aluminum profile processing, producing products such as flower showers, faucets, bathroom cabinets, mountain hooks, bottle openers, and so on.
Why choose Fenggang? Li Yawei stated that the plumbing and bathroom industry in the central and western regions is basically blank, and Fenggang has a superior geographical location. Plumbing and bathroom products can be sold to the southwest, northwest, and even central regions, with significant advantages in transportation, labor, and plant rental costs. Zunyi is an important aluminum producer in the southwest region, with an annual output of 450000 tons of aluminum. The plumbing and bathroom industry requires a large amount of aluminum. Using local materials in Fenggang can save a lot of costs over the year.
"Now, in addition to supplying the material needs of bathroom enterprises in the park, some of our aluminum profiles are supplied to Ningbo, Shanghai, and other places. As of now, 80 million yuan of orders have been completed, and we are striving to complete another 40 million yuan of orders within this year." Li Yawei said, Fengxi Aluminum is gradually developing into a comprehensive aluminum product enterprise integrating research, development, production, and sales. Under full load production conditions, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 200 million yuan.
In recent years, Guizhou Fenggang Economic and Technological Development Zone has been continuously improving the industrial chain and attracting investment along the chain, focusing on building, strengthening, supplementing, and extending the chain of plumbing and sanitary ware. Up to now, the Economic Development Zone has introduced 28 plumbing and bathroom enterprises such as Wenjia Sanitary Ware, Jinfenghuang Sanitary Ware, and Kedang Valve Core as leading enterprises, with a cumulative investment of over 400 million yuan, producing over 100 product varieties, and an output value of nearly 800 million yuan. At the same time, an investment of 600 million yuan is planned to build a plumbing and bathroom industry chain that integrates production, supply, marketing, research, and exhibition, and build the park into a plumbing and bathroom expo city with complete products and optimal services in the southwest region.
